Jacki Templin is Promoted to Deerwood Bank Central Market President

I am very happy to announce that Deerwood Bank has promoted Jacki Templin as our Central Market President. In this position, Jacki will lead our central market branch locations of Waite Park and Sartell.

Prior to being promoted to Central Market President, Jacki served as Deerwood Bank’s Vice President of Business Banking since 2011 and has more than 25 years of banking experience. Jacki’s office will remain in the Waite Park bank location.

About the Change

Our current Central Market President, Bill Eickhoff, will help Jacki transition into the role through June of this year. “Jacki has been an incredible asset to our team for years. She is a great resource and advocate for our clients, and I just know she will serve our customers and our staff well in the years to come,” Bill says. “I’m excited for my next step personally and professionally. I’ll miss the banking industry, but I’m more than confident in Jacki and our whole team to carry on our efforts.”

I’d like to personally give a heartfelt thanks to Bill for his years of service to the bank, our customers, and most of all our staff. We wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

Jacki’s Background

After graduating from Concordia College with a B.A. in both Mathematics and Business Administration, Jacki immediately jumped into the banking industry as a credit analyst before making the jump to business banker, the role she has held for the last 17 years. Throughout her time in the banking industry, she has served in many areas, from helping small businesses get their start, to supporting local community members through the COVID-19 pandemic – Jacki has proven to be a great resource and advocate for companies throughout Minnesota.

Jacki has been very involved in the community over the years and currently serves as Treasurer of the St Cloud Morning Optimist Club, Finance Director for Sartell JO Volleyball, and is a member of the Sartell Booster Club.

Jacki and her husband Tom have four children. She was born and raised in rural Belgrade and has lived in Sartell for the past 21 years. She enjoys golfing, watching her kid’s sporting events, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

Moving Forward

When I asked Jacki for a comment that I could use in this article, Jacki said “I have always enjoyed assisting and working with our customers as a business banker, and I look forward to working with our outstanding group of bankers we have here in our central market. I am committed to the continued growth and success of our bank, our local businesses, and our community, just like Deerwood has been doing since 1910. I’m thrilled with the honor and responsibility of this position.”

As you have probably heard me talk about before, Deerwood’s business philosophies are based on the belief that our success depends on our commitment to, and deep knowledge of, the communities we serve. Jacki shares these philosophies and we are confident she will be an excellent fit for this position.
