Deerwood Bank Promotes Robynn Halstad to Vice President – Retail Banking

Bemidji, MN – Deerwood Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Robynn Halstad to Vice President – Retail Banking. This promotion reflects Robynn’s extensive experience, strong leadership, and continued impact on the bank’s retail operations and team development. 

Robynn brings 20 years of banking experience to her new role, including the past 13 years in leadership positions with Deerwood Bank. She has held roles including Teller, Credit Analyst, Retail Manager, Retail Operations Manager, and Retail Market Manager, building a well-rounded foundation across both front-line and operational areas of the organization. A graduate of Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Robynn combines formal education with hands-on experience to support strategic initiatives and day-to-day execution.  

Her strengths lie in translating large initiatives into practical, branch-level execution by creating clear processes and guiding teams through change. Robynn is known for her focus on developing leaders, sharing knowledge, and building strong teams that support long-term growth. She is passionate about strengthening retail capabilities while maintaining a strong connection to customers and communities.

In her free time, Robynn enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, two children, and two dogs. She stays active with outdoor activities such as fishing, gardening, and side-by-side rides, and enjoys supporting her children’s activities. She is actively involved in the community, serving as Residential Campaign Cabinet Chair for the United Way of the Bemidji Area, volunteering at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and coaching youth basketball and softball.
