Deerwood Bank Promotes Mike Demuth to Market President for Crow Wing County

Baxter, MN – Deerwood Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Demuth to Market President for Crow Wing County. 

Demuth has been a valued member of the Deerwood Bank team since 2013 and most recently served as Vice President of Business Banking. In his new role, he will continue leading Deerwood Bank’s efforts throughout Crow Wing County by strengthening customer relationships, supporting team development, and driving continued growth across the market.

A native of International Falls, Demuth lives in Brainerd with his wife, Taylor, and their two sons. He holds an MBA from the University of North Dakota and is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

Throughout his career, Demuth has specialized in business banking with experience in commercial and industrial lending, aviation finance, healthcare lending, and commercial real estate. He is known for taking the time to understand each customer’s unique needs and working collaboratively to deliver practical solutions that support long-term success. 

“Over my years at Deerwood Bank, I’ve seen the bank grow while staying focused on relationships and keeping banking simple for our customers,” said Demuth. “I’m excited for the opportunity to build on that foundation, develop our team, and help more businesses across the Brainerd Lakes Area grow.” 

As Market President, Demuth will focus on supporting Deerwood Bank’s Crow Wing County team, strengthening the bank’s presence throughout the Brainerd Lakes Area, and helping local businesses and families reach their goals. 

“The most rewarding part of my career has been building lasting relationships with customers and seeing their businesses succeed,” Demuth added. “Working alongside our bankers to serve those customers has taught me the value of listening, following through, and bringing the right people together. Those experiences have prepared me to lead the market and support our team in this next chapter.” 

Beyond the bank, Demuth is actively involved in the community. He serves on the board of Mount Ski Gull, is a member of Brainerd Sertoma, and volunteers as a youth hockey coach. In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, as well as golfing, fishing, hockey, and staying active.
